Through October 19 - Open Space: Art About the Land at Minnetrista, an art competition and exhibition which recognizes and encourages artists in East Central Indiana who derive creative inspiration from the land, or whose work celebrates the notion of open space as it relates to the land. A portion of the proceeds from the exhibit will go to help the Red-tail Conservancy.
October 28 through Dec. 6 - Muncie Ballet 6-week workshop, "Evil Elf" on Tuesdays from 4-5pm. The final creation will be used in The Children's Nutcracker. Dance or stage experience is not required.
Through October - Sarah LaBarge, a current Ball State University student, will have her art work on display in the Cornerstone Gallery from September 22nd to October 31st. The show is titled Sarah LaBarge: Figures and New Work and features 18 pieces of her recent work.
Through October - Artworks Gallery will exhibit beadmaker Lisa Atchison's "Turning Over a New Leaf," with an opening reception during ArtsWalk on Thursday, October 2. Music will be provided by harpist Megan Upchurch.
Through October - The Artist Within will feature artwork by two local artists through October. Thurman Grantham will showcase new sculptural pieces in "Thurman's World of Flowers." Yorktown native Brent Engelmann will display his digital photo collages. "Trippin' through the 70's" includes photos of rock legends. An opening reception will be held during ArtsWalk, Oct. 2, from 5 to 9pm.
Through October - Minnetrista Farmers Market meets every Wednesday evening from 4pm until sold out, and every Saturday morning from 8am to noon. Featuring vegetables, fruits, flowers, eggs, honey, baked goods, meat, cheese and much more.
Through October - Gallery 308 presents Arts Kaleidoscope: Art & Poetry; Remembering Midred Trivers and the Humpback Barn.

Through January 4 - Snakes, Rattles and Holes at Minnetrista, a walk-through replica of a snake's skeleton that utilizes videos, artifacts, text panels and interactive elements to teach visitors about snakes of the Midwestern United States.
Through January 9 - Earthworks at Minnetrista. Native American cultures in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and West Virginia constructed geometric and animal-shaped earth works that often rivaled Stonehenge in their astronomical accuracy. See virtual reconstructions of these works from 39 sites.
Every Monday - Jazz at the Fickle Peach features Charlie Owen on drums, Paul Rhine on double-bass and flute, and Phil Cooley on Piano. They perform every Monday night from 9 to 11.
