Snakehead Ed will showcase his scaly friends during Snakes Alive at Minnetrista Saturday, Oct. 25 from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. This program will feature snakes from all over the world, including your own backyard! Price is included with admission.
Snakehead Ed (Ed Ferrer), a retired middle school science teacher, used animals to get students interested in science and nature. The most popular animals used were his large collection of snakes from Africa, Asia, Australia, and North and South America.
After the show visit Snakes, Rattles and Holes, created by Purdue University's Department of Agricultural Communication. This exhibit features a 69-foot replica of a snake's skeleton that utilizes videos, artifacts, text panels and interactive elements to teach visitors about snakes of the Midwestern United States.
Minnetrista hours: Mon. - Sat., 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Sun., 11 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Admission is FREE to members. General Admission is $4 child/student; $6 senior; $7 adult.
