Cornerstone Center for the Arts is partnering with Americans for the Arts to host an Emerging Leaders Creative Conversation in Muncie on Friday, October 31, 2008 from 11:30 - 1:00 p.m.
Creative Conversations are part of National Arts and Humanities Month programs coordinated in October. The event is free and open to the public. To RSVP please call Cheri Boggs at 281-9503, ext. 10.
This informal lunch gathering will allow artists, arts organizations, and arts supporters an opportunity to talk about partnerships, a culture district proposal, and possibilities for arts-related growth and visibility in Muncie-Delware County. Facilitated by Terry Whitt Bailey, Robby Tompkins, and Genny Gordy. Mayor Sharon McShurley will be in attendance along with several other local arts leaders and community organizers. Bring your own lunch if desired. Drinks and desserts will be provided.
Robert L. Lynch, president and CEO of Americans for the Arts, said, "Creative Conversations allows a arts leaders to discuss challenges specific to them, compare experiences in the field, discuss community issues, and brainstorm how to connect with the greater community of leaders in the region." The month-long celebration has become the largest annual celebration of the arts and humanities in the nation. With 45 years of service, Americans for the Arts is dedicated to representing and serving local communities and creating opportunities for every American to participate in and appreciate all forms of the arts.
