The Cornerstone Arts Program is excited to introduce its next series of six week classes, which begin October 27th and continue until December 11th. These classes are a great option for community members to experience some of our exciting classes in a shorter setting. This series offers a small sampling of classes in dance, music, and visual arts. Most group classes start at just $40 for the entire session and all supplies are included for visual arts classes. Payment plans are available for the 6 week session.
Youth Classes (ranging from age 2- 8th Grade) include: Early Tumbling (ages 2-5), Youth Tap (1st-8th grade), Youth Belly Dance (1st-8th grade), Children's Choir (3rd-5th grade), Youth Art (1st-5th grade), and Art Exploration (6th-8th grade). Private lessons are also offered in the following areas: Drums, Guitar, Piano, Saxophone, Trumpet, Strings, Voice, and American Sign Language.
9th Grade-Adult classes include: Introductory Ballroom, Dance & Fitness, Swing, Contemporary & Lyrical, Watercolors, Drawing, and Paper Crafting & Collage. Private lessons are also offered in the following areas: Private Ballroom Dance lessons, Drums, Guitar, Piano, Saxophone, Trumpet, Strings, Voice, and American Sign Language.

Martial Arts with Peter Ellery is returning to Cornerstone and we are excited to restart the program. Martial Arts classes will meet for all levels on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00-6:30 starting October 7th . Financial aid covering half the class fee will be available for those who qualify and forms are available online as well as in the building. The deadline for financial aid applications for this class is October 10th.
Community Halloween Party
Join Cornerstone Center for the Arts for a FREE family Halloween party! On Thursday, October 30th from 4:00-6:00 pm, we will have fun and family friendly activities for children, prizes, treats, and more. This event is free and open to the public, so come dressed in your costume or not, but come and enjoy all the Halloween party has to offer! We are located at 520 E Main Street in downtown Muncie.
401(k)ids Ten Year Anniversary
On October 23rd at 7:00pm Cornerstone Center for the Arts will celebrate the past ten years of the 401(k)ids Arts Scholarship Program as well as past and present participants of the program.
Participants will perform or display past work including dance, art, theatre, or music. This event is free and open to the public. Information: 281-9503, ext. 15.
Harvest Moon Film Festival
The second annual Harvest Moon Film Festival will take place November 13th -15th in downtown Muncie. A variety of independent films will be screened and community members will have the chance to view films, attend the Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony, and attend the educational workshops.
