All Things Gingerbread at Minnetrista

Join Minnetrista for our Gingerbread Workshop Series! Children and adults alike can experience hands-on activities, as well as professional demonstrations. Learn to make and design a gingerbread house that will dazzle your friends and family this holiday season, or enter our Gingerbread House Contest where your creation could become part of the exhibit!

Gingerbread Methods Workshop
Saturday, November 1
1 - 3 p.m.

Discover the exciting world of gingerbread! Barbara Dorton, supervisor of the Atrium at Ball State University, will guide you through some of the intricate details of creating gingerbread masterpieces. You'll even receive a special party favor!

Registration deadline: Wednesday, October 29. Price: Members, $10; non-members, $15.


Show & Tell: Gingerbread Houses
Saturday, November 8
1:30 - 3 p.m.

ACF certified chefs Chef Heather Pier, CC and Chef Will Wolfe, CC from Ivy Tech Culinary Program will demonstrate gingerbread house construction and decoration. Ask questions and get tips from a professional; take home recipes for building your own gingerbread house.

Price: included with general admission (Child/Student $4; Senior $6; Adult $7; Members FREE). No registration is needed.


Gingerbread House Contest- Sponsored by Lifetouch
Deadline for submission, Nov. 22

Our gingerbread house contest will feature the following categories: Amateur, Teen, Children, and Group. To enter visit, www.minnetrista.net or call (765) 282-4848. Entries will be judged on overall appearance, originality, construction and difficulty. Special awards will also be given to the overall "People's Choice." The winning entries will be displayed at Minnetrista November 28- December 7. Special thanks to Cassella's Kitchen for prizes.


Gingerbread House Workshop
Saturday, December 20
10 a.m. - 12 p.m. & 1 - 3 p.m.

Two great chances for your family to make a gingerbread house! Bring your imagination and we'll supply the gingerbread, decorations and instructions. You'll leave with a sweet creation that's sure to be a great centerpiece for your family holiday gatherings!

Price: Members, $20 per house; non-members, $25 per house.

Registration deadline: Wednesday, December 10.
