Announcements from Cornerstone Center for the Arts

FROM THE CORNERSTONE CONNECTION" NEWSLETTER...
In Review: The Cornerstone Carnival!

Cornerstone's first-ever Carnival was a big success, with hundreds of people filling the parking lot for games, crafts, activities, concessions, performances, booths, and more!

Demonstrations on the stage included a skit by the Youth Drama class, a solo performance by local belly dancer Elizabeth Carr, two free Kindermusik classes, a demonstration by the American Sign Language class, a reading by students from Creative Writing Workshop, and a collaborative performance by Beginning, Intermediate, and Youth Hip Hop.

Inside, anyone could participate in free workshops and classes, including: Belly Dance, Dance & Fitness, Ballet, and Group Piano. Students from Judy Kiger and Kerri Francini's private lessons put on a group performance in the Theatre Room. A visual art gallery in the Colonnade Room featured artwork from Youth Art, Drawing, Painting, Digital Photography, Youth Ceramics, Adult Ceramics, and Art Exploration.

Several of Cornerstone's resident organizations set up booths in the parking lot to share information about their upcoming activities, and many people registered for Cornerstone's fall classes. All classes are now listed online at www.cornerstonearts.org.

Thank you to everyone who came to the Carnival for making the first one such a success. Also, a very special thank you to all of the volunteers who helped with the event. It would have been impossible without you!
