Downtown Muncie Public Meeting This Wednesday

The Heart of the City / Muncie Downtown Business Council will meet Wednesday, March 25th, at 3pm in the Star Press building conference room.

An important focus group study on the Horizon Convention Center will be conducted during the last half of the meeting by a group of Ball State students. Everyone's input is important to help them with their research, so please plan to attend - and bring a friend. They are looking for feedback from the Muncie community including local politicians, taxpayers, and the Downtown Business Council.

Other items on the agenda will include discussion with the Gus Macker planners about this year's event and its location, as well as updates on Spring Zing, BSU Orientation and other downtown events; and an update on the Main Street Program and Downtown Business Council's merger with Heart of the City.

Additionally, public input is sought for Muncie's 5-year Parks and Recreation Plan. An update will be given at Wednesday's meeting. The parks plan is available for review on the http://dmmpc.org website. Click here for a direct link to the master plan .

April's Downtown Council meeting will be a public presentation from the state director of Main Street Indiana on April 29th at 4:30pm. Any questions about the Main Street program can be answered at that time, and the public is urged to attend.
