Call for Submissions for 3rd Annual Cornerstone Art Show

Break out your paint brushes, clay, and video cameras and submit your original art work to Cornerstone Center for the Arts' annual juried art show. This show is a fun learning opportunity for artists of all ages and gives local artists a chance to display their work and win cash and prizes.

Community members are invited to submit their art in the following categories: 2-D, 3-D, and video art. Artists can register and submit their work during the week of March 30th through April 3rd from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. Prizes will be awarded based on the winners for each category in each age group: K-5th grade, 6th-8th grade, 9th-12th grade, and adult. Individual and group submission rates are available.

The art show will be held on Tuesday, April 14th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. All work must be submitted to Cornerstone at 520 E. Main St. Entry forms can be found at Cornerstone or online at www.cornerstonearts.org. Call 765.281.9503 ext. 15 for more information.

This community arts show allows participants to have their work shown in a gallery setting during the show. Participants can also attend demonstrations by featured artists at the show. Work by Cornerstone featured artists Blair Bowden, Jason Combs, Patricia Kreigh, and Andy Bond will be on display and the artists will be on hand to discuss their work and the creative process behind it. These artists will also serve as the jury for submissions in each category.

Last year there were over 220 pieces from over 140 artists on display at the show which was attended by over 500 people.
