Barak Obama Brings National Attention to Muncie

Saturday morning, April 12th, Sen. Barak Obama addressed around 3,000 citizens and college students in a town hall meeting at Ball State University in Muncie Indiana.

Obama's speech was carried live on FOX News Network and MSNBC... up until he addressed his remarks on the bitterness of the people in Pennsylvania. That's what they were waiting for. A FOX News anchor broke in to say that they were extending the length of the Fox & Friends program to bring the speech, only because he was expected to address those remarks. "Let's hope he does that sooner than later," she said.

Once he addressed - and reiterated - his remarks, the audio of his speech was suppressed while the "experts" and "anchors" argued over the still streaming video, dissecting each word and pairing of words in his short statement.

Obama and Clinton have both visited Muncie, the first time presidential candidates have visited the town in 40 years.

Indiana's primary election is expected to be a deciding factor in this year's hotly contested election. Voter registration is at an all time high, and turnout for the primary is expected to be greater than usual. Typically the party nominees have been chosen well before the Indiana primaries in early May.
