Featured Artists Announced for Cornerstone Art Show

The first Cornerstone Art Show, a juried competition, will take place at Cornerstone Center for the Arts on Wednesday, April 18th from 5-8 pm. There will be six featured local artists at the competition. These artists will have their own galleries at the competition and will judge the numerous public entries.

Featured Artists:

* Julie Beck: (Graphic Design) Beck is a senior at Taylor University and is majoring in Visual Arts/New Media. She interned at Stratum Development in Illinois.
* Jasen Combs: (Ceramics) Combs received his BFA in Ceramics from Ball State University. He is an experienced potter who also works at Cornerstone.
* April ElNaggar: (Pottery) ElNaggar received her Masters of Visual Arts from Ball State. She owns her own studio, The Potter's Hands, where she teaches classes.
* Karen Karki: (Photography) Karki studied art at Taylor University. She owns her own freelance photography business.
* Danielle Linehan: (Mixed Media) Linehan operates Danielle Paulson Photography. She plans on continuing her education at George Mason University.
* Lynette K. Waters-Whitesell: (Painting) Whitesell has received many awards and recognitions for her graphic design work. She also received a grant for her work with digital transfers.

These artists will also be giving educational presentations during the day that have been coordinated through local schools.
