23 thru 27th - ARTBeat! Summer Camp at Muncie Childrens Museum. Call the museum for details 286-1660.

23 thru 27th- Summer Art Camps for 6-8 year olds Clay Camp, 9am-noon at the Artist Within. Contact the Art Mart at 284-2919 or the Artist Within at 289-7895 for more information or to enroll in camp.

26th - After 5 at Minnetrista from 6 - 9 p.m. will feature video games, such as Rock Band, Guitar Hero and a variety of other games on a large projection screen and prizes! Rock stars and fans will enjoy a cash bar, food, and two exhibits featuring music. Must be 21+ to attend.

26th - Thought Criminals: Kerry White and Dan Tessitore with MC Vinnie Landfert at Centerstage. Show @ 8 pm. doors @ 7pm. Tickets available @ the Heorot or Alter Ego Comics.

26th - Community Center for Vital Aging, meetings held at Cornerstone Center for the Arts: A Healthy Way to Eat Sweets 6:30-8:00. A small fee will be charged.

27th - Freaky Tiki Friday food, drink and live music from Mike Martin & Friends. Starts at 5pm in the parking lot next to the Blue Bottle.

27th - Free Friday Night Movie - "Enchanted" begins at dusk in the 400 block of South WWalnut Street.

27th - After 5 at Minnetrista - Rock On! from 6-9 p.m. Be a Rock Star! Play the "Rock Band" game on stage while your fans enjoy the show on our large projection screen. Rock stars will enjoy a cash bar, food, and two exhibits featuring music. Registration deadline: Monday, June 23. Call (765) 213-3549.

28th - Summer Stage Fest at Minnetrista, country concert, featuring country music star Andy Griggs, 7:30pm.

28th - Free Family Saturday at Muncie Children's Museum. On the last Saturday of every month the Museum offers free admission all day, from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

28th - Geo-Jam! at Minnetrista, 10am - 3pm. Join us for a day of rhythmic adventure, where geocaching and music collide! Visit www.minnetrista.net.

29th - A free workshop performance of Those Killing Feares, a newly devised musical monodrama will be presented at Muncie Civic Theatre at 7:00pm. Admission is free, but donations are welcome to help "Save the Civic".

JUNE ONGOING

Through June - Artwork by Joshua Chatwin and Brie Thompson will be on exhibit at Blue Bottle Coffee Shop in June. Eric Ernstberger's artwork will be featured in July. If you have artwork you'd like to be displayed at Blue Bottle, please contact Lelly at 284-3630.

Through June - Artist Within will feature the collaborative work of Nick Carnes and Jason Bord. The collaborative paintings will be on display from June 3-28, 2008 with an artists' reception Thursday June 5th from 5-8pm.

Through June - exhibit at Artworks will be "Earth and Fire" featuring Sue Beach and Carol Burt. Their works will be on display June 5, 2008 through July 1, 2008, with an opening reception at First ThursdayJune 5 from 5 to 8pm.

Through June - exhibit at Gallery 308 will feature three members of Ball State's Department of Architecture faculty--Joseph C. Blalock, Jr., Lohren Deeg, and Brian Hollars. "Muncie Triptych: A Vision of Hope in Three Parts" will open June 5 with free public reception for the First Thursday opening from 5 to 8 p.m.

Through June - Gordy Fine Art and Framing exhibit: twelve members of the Indiana Plein Air Painters Association will be on exhibit. Opening reception on June 5th 5-8pm

Through July 10th - Guided tours of Downtown Muncue for the parents of BSU orientation students, Tuesdays through Thursdays, from 10:30 to 11:50am.

Through July 15th - Art gallery at Cornerstone features "Artwork of a Muncie Youth" by David Freeman, winner of the 2nd Annual Cornerstone Art Show.

June 16-Aug. 7th - Cornerstone Center for the Arts classes for youth and adults run June 16th-August 7th. This summer, more than 50 classes are offered in a variety of categories, such as dance, language, visual arts, music, Kindermusik, theater, and writing. Visit www.cornerstonearts.org.

Through October - Minnetrista Farmers Market meets every Wednesday evening from 4pm until sold out, and every Saturday morning from 8am to noon. Featuring vegetables, fruits, flowers, eggs, honey, baked goods, meat, cheese and much more.

Every Monday - Jazz at the Fickle Peach features Ralph Johnson on drums, Paul Rhine on double-bass and flute, and Phil Cooley on Piano. They perform every Monday night from 9 to 11.

JULY EVENTS

July 2nd - Muncie on the Move at theHorizon Convention Center. Doors open at 6:45 a.m.for a buffet style breakfast. The program begins at 7:30 a.m.

July 3rd - First Thursday in Downtown Muncie from 5 to 8pm. All the art galleries open their monthly exhibits with meet-the-artists receptions.

July 3rd - Vera Mae's Bistro presents a special viewing of the paintings of artist Phoebe Wantz from 5 to 7pm, in conjuction with First Thursday.

July 4th - Freaky Tiki Friday food, drink and live music from Doc, Dunn, and Simmons and Diana and the Pushtwangers. Starts at 5pm in the parking lot next to the Blue Bottle.

July 4th - Fireworks and Minnetrista Summer Stage Fest with patriotic music, featuring America's Hometown Band, 8:30pm.

July 7 thru 11th - Incredible Edible Science Summer Camp at Muncie Childrens Museum. Call the museum for details 286-1660.

11th - Muncie Children's Museum - Friends and Family Fun Night. Admission is free. The theme for July's Friends and Family Fun Night will be celebrating All American Pet Photo Day. Bring a picture of your pet to the Museum to be entered into the Cutest Pet and Most Unique Pet Contests. Decorate a frame for your pet's picture, play animal bingo and meet the pets of the Museum. Underwriting for this event is provided by the Edmund F. & Virginia B. Ball Foundation.
