Thursday, June 5, 2008- Long Distance Affair
>From their Myspace Page:
Long Distance Affair is originally from South Bend, Indiana. We began playing gigs and writing music in high school. We eventually moved down to Bloomington, Indiana where we began playing with lead guitarist Chadwick Snedeker. Our rhythm section has remained the same for 6 years, allowing for confident onstage experimentation. Mixed with the guitar style of Chadwick, the result is a catalog of high powered jams and relaxed improvisation. We are a rock band that isn't concerned with how many notes we play, but with how well our songs affect the crowd.

$1.00 PBR

Rich Hardesty is the "Real Deal" according to Daylle Deanna Schwartz, author of The Real Deal: How to Get Signed to a Record Label (Billboard Books). Rich is too busy to chase record deals, because he's earning a 6-figure income by gigging and selling CDs on his own! Schwartz will be featuring him in the new edition of her book, Start & Run Your Own Record Label (Billboard Books).
Rich toured with Pepper and Slightly Stoopid in 06 on the Jagermeister Tour including sold out shows at House of Blues in Vegas and 4th and B in San Diego.
Rich's aggressive marketing tactics and grassroots approach to his music have landed him feature interviews in "Gig" Magazine and "Fast Forward." He has recorded over 600 live shows, allowing fans to experience the intense energy that goes into his performances! He has creatively used his marketing degree from Indiana University to market himself and his music. Here is the "REAL DEAL" on RICH HARDESTY...

- Toured 36 cities in six weeks on "The Jagermeister Tour" and has been voted the 1 "Jager" band 10 years running, and currently holds the record for the most Jagermeister sold in a night w/100 bottles (this broke his own record of 82)
- Headlined John Mellencamp's 50th b-day party with Moe Z of the Wallflowers (whom he performs with on a regular basis)
- To support one of his charitable causes, Rich conceptualized and organized a benefit concert, featuring the Rich Hardesty Band, for the Negril Coral Reef Society & Fisherman of Negril
