Downtown Announcements: The coupon sheet deadline is tomorrow, and there are a couple coupon ad spots still available. Ad spaces for the monthly "Downtown Deals" coupon sheet are $50 for a business card size coupon. Deadline is 5:00pm on Friday, Feb. 29. The Chamber of Commerce is seeking downtown businesses for inclusion in the update of the downtown map. This map will be distributed to all incoming BSU freshmen and their parents, all government offices, locations on the BSU campus, all incoming conventions, the Visitor's Bureau, all downtown businesses, and more. Through March - Tthe Artist Within will feature paintings by Lynnsy Terrill from March 4-29, 2008. An opening reception, which is free and open to the public, will be from 5-8pm on Thursday, March 6.

Through March -Artworks will exhibit "Passion and Sensitivity" featuring paintings by Sandy Day. An opening reception will be held during First Thursday, March 6, 5:30pm to 8:30pm

Through March - Gordy Fine Art and Framing will exhibit paintings by Robert Farlow. The artist will be on hand for a reception during the First Thursday event, from 5 to 8 PM on March 6th. Light refreshments will be served and the public is invited to attend.

Through March - Gallery 308 will exhibit "Ben Bates and Ted Neal: New Ceramics Work." The opening reception for the pair's new exhibit is First Thursday, March 6 at 308 East Main in downtown Muncie. Admission is free; refreshments will be served.

Through March 30 - 18th Minnetrista Annual Juried Art Show & Sale. The visual arts are alive and flourishing in East Central Indiana. Artists from across East Central Indiana will participate in the 18th Minnetrista Annual Juried Art Show & Sale. The exhibit will be open to the public February 16 - March 30, 2008 at Minnetrista.
