The Muncie Visitors Bureau is in search of fall/winter photos taken in Delaware County. It can be of your attraction, event, community etc. These photos will be used on the web and community calendar that is circulated to hotels for visitors. Photo credit will be given where possible.
OCTOBER EVENTS:
25th - Cornerstone Center for the Arts annual Community Halloween Party 4-6pm. This event is open to the public at no cost; we will have games, crafts, story telling, and refreshments. Costumes are not required, but are enjoyed.
25-27th - The Basement at Muncie Children's Museum returns this Halloween season with "Nightmare on High Street." The Basement is open from 6 to 10pm on Thursday through Saturdays, October through Oct. 27 at the Muncie Children's Museum, 515 S. High Street in Downtown Muncie. 27th - 2007 Run the Greenway 10K run and 5K walk. Begin and end at the Wysor Street Depot. Race/walk begins at 9:00 am, registration 7:30 - 8:30 am. Entry fee $12 until October 19th, $15 after and day of event. Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place top Male and Female racers and in 13 age categories. Every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, starting at 11:00 a.m. and the last activity of the day starts at 3:00 p.m. The current themed days are: Tricky Tuesday, Weird Science Wednesday, Theatre Thursday and Fun Friday. Children will take part in activities associated with each themed day such as story time, science activities and art projects in Make N Take. No registration is required. All themed day activities are included with the price of admission. Children can bring a lunch. 2nd - A ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of the South Walnut Street Roundabout is scheduled for Friday November 2nd from noon-1:00pm with official comments and ribbon cutting at 12:15. Brown bag lunch from Carter's Hotdog Cart and live musical entertainment from Muncie Central High School Band will be available throughout the lunch hour. The public is encouraged to attend. An artists reception will be held from 5-8 pm, Thursday, November 1, 2007.
