Harvest Moon Film Festival Coming to Downtown Muncie

Come and enjoy the Harvest Moon Film Festival: A Gathering of Films and Filmmakers Celebrating the Midwest which will feature classic Midwestern films and submissions from regional filmmakers. The festival will begin on Thursday, November 8th and go through Sunday, November 11th.

On Thursday, the festival will open with the Gala Dinner, followed by the Awards Ceremony where the top prize of $3,000 will be presented. Celebrations will continue on Friday and Saturday with film screenings at Cornerstone Center for the Arts and the Muncie Civic Theatre.

The festival will be presenting several film screenings such as, A League of Their Own, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Welcome to Collinwood, Hoosiers, and Rebel Without A Cause.

Films submitted by regional filmmakers including, From the 50 Yard Line, 20Q, Cell Block Scholars, Idylls, Hoosier Gym: More Than a Movie Set, Dependence, and The White Room, will also be featured. View complete movie descriptions online at www.harvestmoonfilmfestival.com.

Saturday will also include a Film Vendor Fair, with information, internships and employment opportunities, followed by an Education Seminar. The last day of the festival will have a Q&A session with the award winning filmmakers and the presentation of the Viewer's Choice Award of $500 to the film receiving the most votes at screenings throughout the weekend.
