DOWNTOWN ANNOUNCEMENTS: Doc's Music Hall will host the next Downtown Business Council "Meet the Members" social mixer tonight, Thursday, July 26th, from 5 to 7pm. This is an excellent opportunity to network with your downtown peers, and to learn all about the Downtown Business Council and our continued efforts to market your business and our downtown neighborhood. Members will be on hand to answer any questions about the Downtown Business Council, and membership applications will be available for anyone who wants to join. Please come by, and bring a friend! Doc's is located at 215 S. Walnut St. Future "Meet the Members" mixers are scheduled for Sept. 27th at The Artist Within, and November 29th at Cornerstone Center for the Arts.

Minnetrista is now offering box dinners and table seating at Summer Stage Fest. The next Summer Stage Fest event will be Muncie Civic Theatre performance of State Fair Aug. 3 and 4. Table and dinner reservations must be made by Sunday, July 29. Table and dinner reservations for the Muncie Symphony Orchestra concert on Aug. 29 must be made by Sunday, Aug. 26. 27th - Free Friday Night Movies Downtown featuring "Hoot." Movies begin at dusk and will be shown on the south wall of the Downtown Development office.

28th - Great Greenway Tour at the Cardinal Greenway. Registrations available at Wysor Street Depot, 700 E. Wysor or on the web at www.cardinalgreenways.org. 28th - CenterStage: G.O.A.T. will headline along with The Dan Walker Band from Colorado and Big Dang Theory.

29th - First ever Cornerstone Carnival with performances, games, activities, crafts, a visual art gallery, prizes, free classes, food, and more! The event will spotlight the Cornerstone Arts Program's summer classes, and it will also feature performances and booths from Cornerstone's partners and resident organizations. JULY ONGOING :

Through July - Artist Within features artwork of a former Muncie Southside student, Chuck McNally will be the featured artist for July. An artists reception will be at First Thursdays on July 5 from 5-8.

Through July - ArtWorks Gallery July Featured Artist is Bette Graham - Printmaker. "Summer Relief - Original Woodblock Prints" by Bette Graham, a Muncie artist, will be featured for the month of July at ArtWorks Gallery. Anartist reception will be held from on July 5th 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the gallery which is located on 301 S Walnut in Muncie,IN.Regular gallery hours are from 11:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Through July - Gallery 308 invites the public to attend the opening reception for the annual Members' Show, a non-juried exhibition, July 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. The artists whose work is on display are Gallery members, and many of them will be on hand at the reception to discuss their work. Admission is free; light refreshments are provided. The Gallery's Members' Show is held annually in the month of July. Come enjoy a summer tradition here in Muncie at the Farmers Market at Minnetrista. Browse vendors for locally grown fresh vegetables, herbs, flowers (hanging baskets, annuals & perennials), honey, bakery items, eggs, fruits, cheeses and savory meats and more (as well as all your favorite items from the Orchard Shop). The last Saturday of every month will feature cooking demonstrations using fresh produce and other items from the Farmers Market. Delicious foods created by chefs from the American Culinary Federation will be in the Orchard Shop courtyard. Sweet corn and tomatoes are now available too!!
