IMPORTANT - The Downtown Business Council will meet a week earlier than our regular meeting time, which falls during the Thanksgiving holiday. The meeting will be next week on Wednesday, November 19th at 3pm in the Star Press building conference room.
Muncie Downtown Business Council has three positions opening up on its Board of Directors, and is taking nominations for the next two-year term. A slate of nominees will be presented at next Wednesday's meeting, and the floor will be open to anyone who wishes to nominate herself or himself at that time.
If you are interested in taking a leadership position in the organization, please be sure to attend the Nov. 19 meeting, or send an email with your full name, business / organization and contact information to info [at] munciedowntown.com.
As we ready ourselves for the next cycle of leadership, we ask that you take a few short minutes to answer this Muncie Downtown Business Council 2009 Vision Survey at the link below. If you are interested in serving on the Board of Directors, you will have the opportunity to indicate so in the survey.

The slate of nominees for the Board of Directors will be presented to the membership, and voted upon, during the December meeting. Both the November and December meetings are very important for members to attend. Only current members in good standing are eligible to vote.
IMPORTANT - please take note, the December meeting will also take place a week early, on Wednesday, December 17th, to accommodate for the holidays. The meeting will be at 3pm in the Star Press building conference room.
Per the Muncie Downtown Business Council by-laws, the newly elected Board of Directors will vote on the Officers, who will serve one year terms.
You don't have to be a DBC member to attend the meetings, but you do have to be a member to vote for leadership. We encourage everyone's active involvement in the organization, so membership is requested. Downtown Business Council is not limited to businesses and merchants. Residents, organizations and supporters of downtown in general are also welcomed to join DBC.
