This weekend, April 16-19, the Horizon Convention Center will host DeVeau's School of Gymnastics Region V Level 9 & 10 Championship for the first time. At the three day-long competition, attendance is expected to exceed 2,400 people and will bring nearly $750,000 of economic impact to Muncie and Delaware County.
DeVeau's School of Gymnastics will begin its Region V Level 9 & 10 Championship on Friday. Gymnasts, ages 11 to 18 will be traveling from Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan and Indiana to compete in uneven bars, balance beam, vault and floor routines. At the conclusion of the weekend, the top six gymnasts will be eligible to compete in the national championship.
Competitions are open to the public and will take place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9am-9pm each day. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for seniors, and $4 for children. Children 5 years old and under are free. Concessions will be available throughout the event.
The Horizon Convention Center is host to local, regional, national, and international guests and events which have a significant economic impact on Muncie and Delaware County.
