JULY EVENTS:

7th - Free Friday Night Movies featuring SPIDERMAN II, at the Corner of Charles and Walnut. Starts at dusk, approx. 9:30pm.

7th-9th - Faeries, Sprites and Lights at Minnetrista, 8-10 p.m. Adults and children, families and friends are invited to uncover the magical world of faeries and sprites at Oakhurst Gardens. $1 off advanced ticket purchase. Call (765) 213-3549 for ticket info.

7th - Muncie Children's Museum Friends & Family Fun Night - Free Admission from 3 pm to 7 pm. Come and enjoy "Bubble Mania" -Bubble Trivia; Bubble Games; Bubble Crafts

7th - Hank III at Doc's Downtown

8th - Muncie Children's Museum Nutrition Kitchen Grand Opening! from 10 am to 5 pm. Admission is just $1 per person.

10th - Muncie Children's Museum-- Calling all Bingo fans . . . Basket Bingo. Doors open at 5:30 pm with games starting at 6 pm. Advance tickets are $13.00 or you may purchase them that night for $15.00. Prizes include fabulous filled Longaberger baskets. Food will also be available for purchase. Come for dinner and stay for fun.

14th - Free Friday Night Movies featuring LITTLE RASCALS, at the Corner of Charles and Walnut. Starts at dusk, approx. 9:30pm.

14th & 15th - Main Street Studio Theatre presents "All In The Timing" by David Ives at 8pm. Reservations and ticket sales are available by calling 765-288-PLAY or at the Box Office.

15th - Naturalist Chat at Minnetrista, 10 a.m. Free with exhibit admission. Join Minnetrista's Naturalist Robin Dungan and uncover the many natural mysteries of Minnetrista.

16th - Main Street Studio Theatre presents "All In The Timing" by David Ives at 2pm. Reservations and ticket sales are available by calling 765-288-PLAY or at the Box Office.

17th - 21st - Muncie Children's Museum Make It Move Camp Only a few spots are left and the registration deadline is Monday, July 10. To register your child, call the Museum at 286-1660!

18th - Flower Power Program for 4 & 5-Year-Olds at Minnetrista. Session I: 9-10 a.m.; Session II: 4-5 p.m. Registration deadline: Friday, July 14. Call (765) 213-3549 to register.

22nd - Let's Jam! Family Workshop at Minnetrista, 2-5 p.m. Each family will make four half-pint jars of strawberry jam that can be picked up the following day. Registration deadline: Saturday, July 15. Call (765) 213-3549 to register.

23rd - Muncie Civic Theatre presents "The Music Man" at 2pm. Reservations and ticket sales are available by calling 765-288-PLAY or at the Box Office.

23rd - 9:30 PM EST Kent and Steve's place above Vera Mae's will be featured on the HGTV show called reZONED

24th-28th - "More Clay Please!" ClayCamp for 9-12 year olds at The Artist Within. 9 a.m. to Noon, Monday through Friday. Pre-registration required

27th-29th - Muncie Civic Theatre presents "The Music Man" at 8pm. Reservations and ticket sales are available by calling 765-288-PLAY or at the Box Office.

27th - Backyard Floral Arranging Workshop for Adults at Minnetrista, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Jackie Turner and Teresa Hershey from The Flower Bin, Inc. will demonstrate how to create fabulous flower arrangements from your garden. Registration deadline: Monday, July 24. Call (765) 213-3549 to register.

28th - Free Friday Night Movies featuring WIZARD OF OZ, at the Corner of Charles and Walnut. Starts at dusk, approx. 9:30pm.

JULY ONGOING:

Farmers Market at Minnetrista: Shop the market Wednesday, 4 p.m. until sold out; Saturdays, 8 a.m.-12 p.m.

1-29th - Artist Within: "C'est moi...20 years of love and smiles" watermedia exhibit of Dr. Hank Leff, with opening reception During "First Thursday" festivities July 6th from 5-8pm.

Note from The Artist Within's Bob Hartley: "Dr. Hank Leff, our featuresd artist for July passed away this week. He was battling cancer and organizing his show helped revive his spirits; he selected the pieces for his show, but unfortunately passed before seeing it. His family wants us to continue with the First Thursday opening and hope several friends and family will come after the funeral Thursday afternoon."

5th-28th - Mitchell Place Gallery presents: MPG's annual member show Opening reception July 6th 5-8pm

Thru Sept. 3rd - Minnetrista exhibit: Amish Life Across North America. Get an in-depth, inside view of Amish society, contributing to a greater understanding of the people, their customs and their land. Exhibit admission is charged.

Thru Sept. 10th - Minnetrista exhibit: A Garden of Gizmos. See the exhibit that is a garden like no other, featuring engaging hands-on activities with a natural science theme and an important environmental message. Exhibit admission is charged.
