Spirituality Seminar by Sherita

Tarot by Sherita will host a Spirituality Seminar
Saturday, Feb. 19 from 12 Noon to 6 p.m. in her office at 405 South Walnut Street in Downtown Muncie.
Fee $75 per person or bring a friend for $50 each.
Minimum 5 people and maximum 10 people per class.
Seminar will include:
1) Relaxation
2) Meditation
3) Creating Sacred Space
4) Contacting Spirit Guides
5) Acceptance
6) Letting Go
A light meal of soup and sandwiches will be served, with tea or coffee. You may bring other drinks.
No acoholic beverages, no smoking.

Hop to the Museum for the Bunny Brunch
The Bunny Brunch, an annual Easter celebration, will be hosted by the Muncie Children’s Museum on Saturday, March 12, 2005. Two hour and a half sessions will be offered at 9:00 am and 11:00 am. Children will participate in activities, make crafts, meet and have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny and enjoy an egg hunt around the Museum.
Perfect for children ages 2-8, registration is required and seating is limited so reserve your child’s seat today. The cost for one session is $15.00 per child for Museum members and $25.00 per child for non-Museum members. Two adults are admitted free per child.

Have a Ball during Spring Break
The Muncie Children’s Museum is Having a Ball all spring break week: March 20 – 26, 2005. Full of fairy tale fun, visitors can participate in all day activities such as making Robin Hood Hats or playing the fairy tale match game. Daily programs feature a different fairy tale character Monday-Saturday 11:00 am and 3:30 pm and Sunday at 3:00 pm. Characters include some of our favorite princesses: the Princess and the Pea, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Rapunzel. Be sure not to miss Fairy Tale Friday. Dress up as your favorite fairy tale character and receive a free sand art from the Muncie Children’s Museum Store.

Muncie Ballet Studio Visits the Muncie Children’s Museum
Lisa Love, director of the Muncie Ballet Studio, will be visiting the Muncie Children’s Museum on Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at 2:30 pm. Love will read the story “Angelina Ballerina” by Helen Craig and Katherine Holabird. Angelina Ballerina tells the tale of a little mouse who dreams of being a prima ballerina. After the story, Love will lead crafts and movement activities along with dancers who will be in classical and character costumes. The dancers will perform short excerpts, including the children in their dances.

Maidens and Magic all March at the Muncie Children's Museum
There will be a tale to remember every day in March at the Muncie Children’s Museum. Don’t miss our fun, fairy tale programming held Tuesday – Saturday at 11:00 am and 3:30 pm and Sunday at 3:00 pm.
Animal Tales week will be March 1-5, 2005. Activities will include fairy tales such as the Three Little Pigs and the Frog Prince.
Fractured Fairy Tales week, March 6-12, 2005, is sure to be fun. Fractured fairy tales provide a twist on classic tales. “I’ve always found that kids know and love fairy tales,” says Gina Nicewonger, education coordinator. “It’s common ground but there’s always more learning or new ways to look at something.” Fairy tales will include Kate and the Bean Stalk and the Principal’s New Clothes.
During the week of March 13, learn all about the fair maiden Cinderella and hear the Cinderella stories of different cultures during Cinderella Around the World week.
Finally, the fairy tales must end with Heroes and Heroines week, March 27-31, 2005, with activities including tales about Peter Pan and Hansel and Gretel.

This special exhibit , Celebrating Local African American History: Photos from the Middletown Archives is a part of the Gallery’s celebration of Black History Month and will be on display from February 2-15 at the Gallery, 301 S. Mitchell Place Gallery: celebration of African American Life and History on February 6 from 2-6pm. The celebration will feature music by the Spoonful as well as gospel and poetry by Traci Anderson, Beth Leavell Davis, Cynth’ya Reed and Judy Mayes. In addition there will be a performance of Spoken Word and Hip Hop Poetry by FreeDumb University of Indianapolis. Food will be served and the first 75 visitors will receive a ticket for a free dinner at Uncle Monte’s Soul Food restaurant to be used anytime. The Sunday celebration as well as the exhibit are free and open to the public. First Merchants Bank is the sponsor of this event for the second year in a row.
